01 / WHAT YOU'RE PAYING FOR

The fee, and what's inside it.

What does the fee actually include?

Clinician time across the full pathway (pre-assessment screening, the clinical interview, computerised testing where relevant), the diagnostic outcome, and a written report suitable for your GP, employer, or your child's school. Nothing is added at the end.

Why does autism cost more than ADHD?

Autism assessment runs longer in the room, ADOS-2 structured observation alone is 60–90 minutes, on top of the developmental interview. The fee reflects clinician time, not the value of the diagnosis.

Why is the children's price lower than the adult's?

Children's ADHD assessments don't typically need the same depth of retrospective adult history, so the clinical interview is shorter. Autism assessment is the same length whatever the age, so the fee is identical.

02 / BOOKING & INSURANCE

Before you book.

Do I need a GP referral?

No. You can book directly. If you've already spoken to your GP, bring any screening results or letters and we'll build on them, but no referral letter is required to start.

Can I claim through private health insurance?

Some insurers reimburse part of a private ADHD or autism assessment, but coverage varies considerably. We provide an itemised invoice with clinician details on request, check with your insurer first to confirm what they'll accept.

Can my employer cover the cost?

Increasingly, yes, many UK employers fund neurodiversity assessments through employee wellbeing budgets, occupational health, or HR. Ask your people team. We can invoice your employer directly where they need that.

03 / AFTER THE ASSESSMENT

Once you have a diagnosis.

How much does ongoing care cost?

A 12-week ADHD titration pathway is £750, that covers all reviews and dose adjustments during the period. After that, a standard review or annual check-in is £180. Most people don't need anything between the annual reviews once their GP has taken over prescribing.

Will my GP take over prescribing under shared care?

In most cases yes, once you're stable on a dose. We draft a shared-care agreement and provide everything your surgery needs to take over the prescription on the NHS. If your surgery declines, we keep prescribing for as long as you need.

Are reports recognised by employers, schools and the NHS?

Yes. Reports are written to the standard NHS, employers, and SENCos expect, full diagnostic conclusion, NICE-aligned reasoning, named clinician with full registration details, and recommendations the receiving party can act on.
