Arpita Ghosal is an experienced Psychologist and a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP), with extensive experience across NHS CAMHS services, adult mental health teams, and neurodevelopmental services. She is passionate about delivering compassionate, evidence-based care and supporting individuals and families throughout their assessment and therapeutic journey.
Arpita has worked with children, adolescents and adults presenting with a wide range of psychological and neurodevelopmental needs, including ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), anxiety, depression, trauma and early-onset psychosis. Her experience spans assessment, diagnosis and therapeutic intervention within leading NHS Trusts, including East London NHS Foundation Trust, South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust, and North East London NHS Foundation Trust.
She holds a BA (Hons) in Psychology from the University of Calcutta, an MA in Clinical Psychology from Barkatullah University, India, and an MSc in Cognitive & Clinical Neuroscience from Anglia Ruskin University. Alongside her clinical work, Arpita has seven years' experience as a CQC Registered Manager within adult care services, bringing valuable leadership and governance expertise to her practice.
Arpita adopts an integrative, person-centred approach, combining evidence-based psychological therapies with consideration of each individual's lifestyle, environment and support network. She values collaborative working with families and believes in empowering individuals through compassionate, neuro-affirmative care. She is also actively involved in research and has contributed to several peer-reviewed publications.
Outside of her clinical work, Arpita enjoys reading, cooking, and spending time with her family.
