OUR PEOPLE

Meet some of the team.

Assessments at Neurofer are carried out by real people: nurses, occupational therapists and assessors who have spent their careers in ADHD, autism and mental health. Here are eight of them. It's not the whole team, but it's a good place to start.

Shinade Coughlan
Chief Operating Officer

Shinade Coughlan

Shinade is the Chief Operating Officer at Neurofer and brings over 20 years of leadership experience across both the NHS and private healthcare sectors.

As the face of Neurofer, she is passionate about delivering high-quality, patient-centred services and ensuring individuals and families receive timely access to the support and assessments they need. Her operational experience, combined with her commitment to service excellence, plays a key role in driving Neurofer's vision and growth.

Outside of work, Shinade enjoys crafting, spending time in her garden, and countryside walks.

Katy Costa
RMN · ADHD & Autism Assessor

Katy Costa

Katy is a specialist ADHD and Autism assessor. She is a Registered Mental Health Nurse with a BSc (Hons) in Psychology and an MSc in Mental Health Nursing, as well as a lifetime of lived experience of neurodivergence.

Her specific areas of interest focus on the underdiagnosis and misdiagnosis of women and girls, and the nuance of the co-occurring ADHD and autism presentation.

Katy has worked across a range of clinical settings including forensics, challenging behaviour and disability assessment. Prior to nursing she was a police officer, and has an excellent knowledge of the experiences of neurodivergent emergency workers.

Bronwyn Evans
Specialist Mental Health Nurse · Senior Assessor

Bronwyn Evans

Bronwyn is a Specialist Mental Health Nurse, accredited clinical supervisor, and a highly skilled senior neurodevelopmental assessor.

Her clinical work focuses on ADHD and autism assessment, with particular attention to the experiences of women and girls whose neurodivergence has often been missed, or reframed as something else, earlier in life. Alongside her assessment practice, she supports colleagues through clinical supervision, NMC revalidation, and annual appraisal.

Her route into neurodevelopmental practice came through mental health, where the same picture kept appearing: people, particularly women and girls, reaching adulthood after long histories of being treated for what turned out to be rooted in something else.

Her interest in this work is both professional and personal, shaped by one guiding principle: choosing change takes courage. She believes assessment should feel like being met, not measured, and that a diagnosis should open doors rather than close them.

Lisa Hesketh
RMN · ADHD Assessor

Lisa Hesketh

Lisa is a Registered Mental Health Nurse with a strong interest in neurodiversity. She has previously worked as an ADHD Assessor and has extensive knowledge and experience in Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC).

She is passionate about supporting individuals in understanding their strengths and challenges, and helping them access the support they need.

In her free time, she enjoys listening to music and taking long walks.

Harveen Kallah
RMN · ADHD Assessor

Harveen Kallah

Harveen is a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) and has worked in mental health for the past 13 years, in a variety of settings. More recently she has specialised in ADHD assessments, which is an area she is really passionate about.

She enjoys helping people make sense of their experiences, and aims to create a relaxed, supportive environment where they feel listened to and understood throughout the assessment process.

Outside of work, Harveen enjoys spending time with family and friends, getting out for walks, trying new restaurants, and travelling whenever she gets the chance. She also loves winding down with a good series to watch.

Rhiannon Steed
Occupational Therapist · ADHD & Autism Assessor

Rhiannon Steed

Rhiannon is an ADHD and Autism Assessor, Occupational Therapist and Sensory Integration Practitioner, with experience supporting adults, children and young people across mental health, learning disability and forensic services.

Her interests focus on ADHD, autism and sensory processing. She has worked across the NHS, private healthcare and independent practice, and lectures in Occupational Therapy.
