Combined assessment

Two streams.
One integrated report.

One coordinated assessment for those presenting with both, the two diagnostic streams run in parallel, the conclusions land in a single report. Saves you the months of duplicated process that two separate referrals would mean.

WHO YOU'LL SEE

Dual-trained, not two separate teams.

Every clinician on our combined team is trained across both ADHD and autism, so you get one integrated view, not two reports stitched together by an admin.

HOW IT'S STRUCTURED

Two diagnostic streams, one clinical team.

Most clinics run combined assessments as a calendar trick, two appointments back-to-back, two separate reports. Ours runs as one diagnostic process with one conclusion.

FAQ

Common questions, answered honestly.

Most questions cluster around how the two streams interact and what happens if only one diagnosis lands.

How long does the combined assessment take?

The clinical interview runs 90–120 minutes, plus QbCheck (around 20 minutes) and ADOS-2 (60–90 minutes). Total clinician contact is around three to four hours, we can split this across two sessions if preferred.

Is the diagnosis recognised by the NHS and my GP?

Yes. The report follows NICE NG87 (ADHD) and CG142/CG128 (autism) in parallel, written to the standard NHS clinics expect. Most GPs add both diagnoses to your record and use the report to coordinate onward care.

Can I get medication or therapy after diagnosis?

Yes, where clinically appropriate. ADHD medication is managed through our 12-week titration pathway. Autism support is non-medication, we signpost to therapy, peer-support, and reasonable-adjustment guidance in the post-diagnostic call.

What if I only meet criteria for one condition?

That's a perfectly valid outcome and reflects what the assessment is designed to find out. The report sets out the differential, what fits and what doesn't, so you and any onward clinician have a clear picture.

Is the combined assessment available for children & young people?

Yes. The CYP combined assessment runs the same integrated pathway, with school and parent input woven through. Combined CYP fee is £2,100.

One pathway, both answers.

Most people who book the combined assessment are seen within three weeks. Free 15-minute call with a clinician if you'd rather talk it through first.
